Family Tree Classes - Sandy Jackson

Is a series of 7 weekly successive classes. Tools and features of Family Tree Are reviewed. Materials are updated regularly so there is always something new. Also included are computer tips and add on apps to make your research time more productive. Classes include:

• • 1-Basics, navigating, standardizing, adding individuals, using the Help and personal settings.
  • 2-Start page, adding record hints (and WHY), Editing incorrect information on indexed records.
  • 3-FamilySearch Search, RecordSeek, Chrome-(keeping it safe and updated)
  • 4-Gallery, adding photos, stories, etc. to Memories, split screen and keyboard shortcuts
  • 5-Merging duplicates and using Windows10 advanced clipboard
  • 6-FamilySearch WIKI, Catalog and Books
  • 7-Church ordinances, Ordinances ready, reserving, printing, sharing Temple names and Descendancy for full trees.

TIP: To search for a keyword within a website:

• Hold Ctrl key and tap F key.
• A box opens at upper right of the window.
• Click in the box and type in a search term i.e. Maine.
• Box will display number of finds on that page.
• Click on Up and Down arrows within that box to move through the results.
