Iowa County Page Instructions[edit | edit source]
1. The Description is located at the top of the page immediately under the SEO. It looks like this:
2. The Location Map is located in the Infobox on the right side of the page immediately under the Courthouse image.
- It looks like this:
3. Please check the location of the county in the Description against where the county is located in the Location Map.
- To make it easy to decide how to divide up the Location Map, place a pretend line from the center of the top of the Location Map to the bottom and from the center of the left side all the way to the right effectively cutting the state into 4 quadrants like so:
- Top left quadrant would be in northwestern Iowa.
- Top righ quadrant would be in northeastern Iowa.
- Bottom left quadrant would be in southwestern Iowa.
- Bottom right quadrant would be in southeastern Iowa.
- If it is nearest the center, you can say central Iowa.
4. If the location matches (which many of them will), please move on to another county.
5. If the location DOES NOT match, please do the following:
- Use the Edit Source button to the left of the Description heading to get into editing mode.
- Change the incorrect location for the correct one.
- Go down to the reason for the edit and enter Correcting location per project
- Save your work.
6. Go to the next county and repeat.
Before You Leave[edit | edit source]
- Make sure you date the Task List after completing your counties.
Thank you!
