1540-41: Francisco Vasquez de Cornado settles with the Sandia
1617: Franciscan monks establish the San Francisco mission
1680: Pueblo Revolt against the Spanish, the Spanish burn the Pueblo
1692: Diego de Vagas regains control of New Mexico
1748: The Sandia reestablish their Pueblo; they had been living among the Hopi
1848: The Treaty of Guadalupe Hildago, New Mexico becomes part of the United States
