Brief History[edit | edit source]

  • Organized in July 1861.
  • The unit served at Yorktown and in the Richmond area, then participated in the Maryland Campaign.
  • It was later broken up and the officers and men joined other Virginia artillery commands.
  • Captains were Bernard Roemer and William H. Turner.
  • AKA - Roemer's-Turner's Battery
