Purpose[edit | edit source]

The Dallas Genealogical Society (DGS) is a Texas non-profit organization whose purpose is threefold:

  1. to educate by creating, fostering, and maintaining interest in genealogy;
  2. to support the Genealogy Section of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Public Library in Dallas, Texas; and
  3. to preserve information relating to Dallas County and its early history.
