The Harold Weary Genealogy and Local History collection of the Mount Prospect Public Library is one of the Library’s special collections. It was first developed as a separate collection in the 1970s by Harold Weary and other members of the Northwest Suburban Council of Genealogists and has continued to grow through the work of several dedicated librarians and volunteers and the support of the Library over the years. This collection which is found in the center of the second floor of the library offers many resources for researching family history.
