FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a FamilySearch Center, a branch facility of the FamilySearch Library.

We are now closed until further notice due to covid-19 efforts to ensure social distancing. FamilySearch.org is free and has billions of online records available and 99% of them are also available for free while at home.[edit | edit source]

We serve the Family History needs of all who visit. The center is served by North County Transit District bus route 318. Access off of Oak St through parking area.

Location[edit | edit source]

Foothill building.jpg

Address: 1310 Foothill Drive Vista, CA 92084-4048 United States Location Map

The center is accessed from the parking lot at the South-East corner. DO NOT use building front doors as no one will know you are there.

The parking lot entrance is off Oak St. across from the Foothill Oak Elementary School.

The class discusses Onomastics (six-bit word for surnames by origin) also touch on cultural and religious naming conventions, calendar variations, and place name and jurisdiction over time. After all, The Colony of Virginia, chartered in 1606 and settled in 1607 extended to the Pacific Ocean.

We should also note that computer programs all have their own idiosyncrasies for how they would have the information entered.

February 27 No Class - stream RootsTech
March 26 Now You Can Do Family History Anywhere -- Come learn about thee FamilySearch Tree app for iOS and android, learn to add and to view records. Discover the uses for descendancy research.

Well, the above was sent to the Union Tribune newspaper and then came covid-19. We still plan on having the class but, it will be done by computer remote. Stay in touch and we'll add how you might access the class.
