Des Moines County has many cemeteries situated in cities, townships, and farms along with eight cemeteries that are located in the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant (IAAP). The IAAP has facilities built on 19,015 acres (30 square miles) comprising most of Union Township, including small parts of Danville and Flint River. Many of these cemeteries have been transcribed, and others only partially, click on the Cemetery Name and you will be directed to the transcriptions.
- Washington Township has no known cemeteries.
