Does not collect microformat material and does not own a microform reader/printer/scanner. Databases Ancestry Library Edition, Fold3, and Heritage Quest. The Library also contributes to IDA (Illinois Digital Archives) http://www.idaillinois.org. Magazines and Newsletters FamilyTree Magazine, MCIGS Connection Newsletter, MCIGS Quarterly, and the McHenry County Historical Society Newsletter. Societies[edit | edit source]McHenry County Illinois Genealogical Society "The purpose of the McHenry County Genealogical SOciety (MCIGS) is to foster an interest in genealogy, provide instruction in current research methods and practices, and support the preservation of and access to genealogical and historical records."
