The contents of the indexes vary for each diocese. The diocese of St. David's seems to be the most extensive.

Many of the names from these abstracts can be found in the International Genealogical Index (IGI) with the event listed as "Will Making or Probating"

The abstracts and indexes are by diocese; however, there is a separate set for the Archdeaconry of Brecon and the peculiar of Hawarden. The abstracts are arranged by year and contain the name of every person mentioned in the will, including the witnesses.
