Add online collections Vital Records to the Kansas County pages
Task List[edit | edit source]
Instructions[edit | edit source]
1. Sign up for a span of counties on the Task List
2. Go to the first county and go to the Marriage heading under Vital Records.
Step 1: Delete databases under Marriage heading[edit | edit source]
1. Delete ONLY the following four databases listed under the Marriage heading.
- 1811 - 1911 Kansas, Marriages, 1811-1911 at FamilySearch — index
- 1840 - 1935 Kansas, Marriages, 1840-1935 at FamilySearch.org — index
- 1855 - 1911 Kansas County Marriages, 1855-1911 at FamilySearch — images
- 1855 - 1911 Kansas, County Marriages, 1855-1911 at Ancestry.com — images $
2. If there are additional collections other than the above, leave them on the page.
Step 2: Add databases under Marriage heading[edit | edit source]
1. Now add the following databases in Wikitext directly under the intro under the heading, Marriage (this will go exactly where you deleted the above collections):

3. If the additional collection is not in the new list above, move the collections into the list chronologically.
4. Once you have added the databases, preview the page and make any necessary adjustments.
5. Enter in the Edit summary field, "added marriage databases" and save your work.
