Welcome:[edit | edit source]

Saturday September 9, 2017 is the date for the upcoming Conference in Ogden, Utah at the Weber State University in their Shepherd Union Building. This will be an all day event starting at 8:30 AM with a keynote speaker, then moving into the approximately 60 different classes that will be offered.

Since our 2006 Conference, this event has been and is entirely free and open to the public. We are grateful for the sponsorship of the Weber State University History Department and the Ogden FamilySearch Library, who make this annual family history conference possible.

One-On-One Help[edit | edit source]

This year we will again offer personalized help with your family history, genealogy or research questions. We WILL BE setting up a sign in link so you can register and communicate with an assigned helper BEFORE your visit to the conference where they will assist you in person. This activity will be done through the FamilySearch portal, so it will be necessary for you to provide your user name and helper identification number (located at your FamilySearch.org profile page) at the time you register for one-on-one help. We would encourage Spanish speakers to sign up for the one-on-one so a Spanish speaker will be assigned to help you.

Keynote Speaker[edit | edit source]

Elder Steven M Petersen of the 5th Quorum of the Seventies, will be our keynote speaker for this conference. He resides in Farr West, Utah; is chairman of the board, Petersen Inc.; former bishop, high councilor, stake president’s counselor, stake president, and mission president; married to Polly Petersen, seven children.

Class Schedule[edit | edit source]

Our class schedule is still being formulated, however as of July 21, 2017 these are the 56 confirmed speakers and class subjects. The Titles in many cases are generic as a subject only pending the presenters providing specific class titles.

The Class Prescriptions are listed alphabetically with the first word (and prepositions such as "The" being counted as a first word) by clicking HERE.
