General: Prepared by notaries to identify the distribution of an estate after the death of the testator. Until the 18th century the rectors and the priests of the parishes acted as notaries; then, it became a civil function.

Time period: 1347-present.

Contents: List family survivors and other relatives, giving residences and dates of birth and death in some cases.

Location: National Historical Archive, parish archives, municipal archives.
