Cornwall Record Office (CRO) provides a professional archive service for Cornwall. Our main purpose is to preserve Cornwall's archives for the future and make them available for members of the public to access. Our records relate to the people, places and organisations of Cornwall. It holds a wide range of materials dating from the 12th to the 20th centuries.

The Cornish Studies Library (CSL) specialises in helping those who are researching Cornwall or Cornish people. The wide ranging collections cover all subjects, from mining to modern art, from poetry to prehistory, and family history to farming. No membership is required and our service is free.

The British Library has a range of resources relating to Cornwall with particular strengths in printed books, periodicals, newspapers, and maps (and the photographs and other visual images contained within them). Manuscripts, sound and archived websites of Cornish interest are also held and Cornish themes can also be researched using our extensive Electronic Resources.
