The library will not open until 10:00 am on Friday, November 11th, 2016 due to our monthly staff meeting.
Our Saturday Seminar will be held on the third Saturday, November 19th, 2016, from 9:00 am to 12:20 pm. Please join us!
The library will be closed Wednesday November 23rd through Saturday November 26th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
We will reopen on Monday, November 28th at our regular time, 9:00 am.
Riverton FamilySearch Library[edit | edit source]
The Riverton FamilySearch Library has been very popular with local family history researchers in the south part of the Salt Lake Valley since opening its doors on June 21, 2010. Please use the menu above for links to specific library pages.
Family Story Room[edit | edit source]
The Riverton FamilySearch Library has a Family Story Room available for use to record your family's stories. The space is designed with state-of-the-art audio and video technology. The comfortable furnishings and sound proofed interior provide a quiet secluded area, ideal for recording personal histories. Click here for details on scheduling our Family Story Room.

Group Visit Opportunities[edit | edit source]
The Riverton FamilySearch Library is pleased and eager to offer the opportunity for individuals, organizations, and others to schedule a group visit to our library. We offer a variety of options that are sure to provide interest to your group. They include a short presentation, 20 to 25 minutes, in one of our meeting rooms, with the remainder of the time in the library. Genealogy Merit Badge Workshop [edit | edit source]
On the second Saturday of each month, except December, the library offers a Boy Scout Genealogy Merit Badge Workshop. Click here for details on the workshop.
Saturday Seminars [edit | edit source]
On the third Saturday of each month, except December, the Riverton FamilySearch Library offers a free, three-hour Saturday Seminar with a featured speaker and various classes. Click here for details on the seminar.
Family Discovery Days [edit | edit source]
The Riverton FamilySearch Library will host a Family Discovery Day three times a year. The first Discovery Day will be held on January 28th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the library and will focus on Family Reunions. The following Family Discovery Days will be on the fourth Saturday of May and September. A wide variety of family-oriented family history activities are available to experience, enjoy and learn.
