You're invited!
"I invite the young people of the Church to learn about and experience the Spirit of Elijah. I encourage you to study, to search out your ancestors, and to prepare yourselves to perform proxy baptisms in the house of the Lord for your kindred dead (see D&C 124:28–36). And I urge you to help other people identify their family histories.”
–Elder David A. Bednar
We Need You
Learning to do family history will give you the opportunity to be guided by the Spirit.
This is the work of the Lord, and by helping yourself and others, you will fulfill your divinely appointed responsibility to help save your ancestors and help others to find and save theirs. You will learn how to discover, share and preserve your story and the stories of your ancestors.
The Ogden FamilySearch Library offers great opportunities for Young Single Adults to serve even while working or going to school. We are open 60 hours a week, so you will have a lot of flexibility to choose the hours which work for your schedule.
Two Service options are available:
1) Long Term Volunteer
• Minimum 4 hours per week
• Minimum 6 month commitment
• Commitment to fulfil assigned shift(s)
2) Church Service Missionary
• Minimum of 8 hours per week
