Creating Wiki Pages for New FHCs

The purpose of this project is to create FamilySearch Wiki pages for new Family History Centers.

Part 1 - Creating the FHC page[edit | edit source]
1. Go to the Task List and sign up for Family History Center (FHC) that needs to be created.
2. First check to see the official name for the Family History Center by visiting Find local help link. Type (or copy and paste) in the name of the FHC you signed up for.
3. A green Family Tree logo should show up on the map. Click on this icon to see the official name of the FHC. Copy the name of the Family History Center.
4. Open wiki.familysearch.org in a new tab. Once on the main page of the Wiki, paste the name of the FHC in the search field.
5. From the result list, check to make sure there is no other page using this same name. If there is a FHC page already created, go to step number ?????
6. If the FHC doesn't have a page, click on the red link of the FHC to create the page and click on Wikitext button to go to the editing screen in wikitext.

- If the address and contact information is on the FHC Map, complete Part 2.
