Brief History[edit | edit source]

The 2nd Regiment, Michigan Infantry was organized at Detroit, Michigan, May 25, 1861. The length of service was for  3 Years. The regiment was mustered out July 29, 1865 at Delaney House in Washington, D. C. and discharged at Detroit, Michigan, August 1, 1865[1].
