==What's new at the FamilySearch Center?==
=== Staff Training Meetings  ===
(updated 3 March 2024)
===New equipment===

Have lots of photos to digitize?  How about slides or film?  We recently acquired new equipment to help our patrons digitize their family photos, documents and films.

Our new equipment includes the following:
:Next training meeting will be held on January 18, 2015, at 12:30pm at the Stake Center. Please check in the Family History Center for location when you arrive. <br>

*Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner - this scanner converts 35mm, 126KPK, 110 and super 8 and 8mm film negatives and slides to jpegs. It has many features including resolution adjustments, brightness and color adjustment, red-eye elimination, compatible with PC/Mac with no software requirement.  It loads easily and quickly to allow for fast scanning of slides and negatives.  Digital files are loaded onto a memory card for transfer to your own personal computer.
=== What's New at the Center ===

*Epson FF-680W Fastfoto wireless scanner.  This scanner is able to scan up to 35 photos as at time at speeds of one photo per second at 300dpi. Higher dpi's are available but the scanner will be slower for higher resolutions.
==== One-on-one workshops ====

We will be setting up other new equipment as we obtain it. Please be aware that if there is high demand for this equipment then we will need to have patrons limit their time to 2 hours per scanner.
:Available immediately, you can sign up for one-on-one help for your family history research. Please stop by the center to sign up or call and make and appointment. Thank you.
