History of Belarus[edit | edit source]
Long at the cross roads of warring neighbors, the history of Belarus has been marked with war and bloodshed. Over the centuries, Belarusian lands have been a part of Poland, Lithuania, the Russian Empire and the Ukraine. During both World War I and World War II Germany occupied Belarus.
