Play in your sandbox
User sandbox[edit | edit source]
The user sandbox is a page designed for you to practice editing wiki articles. If your user sandbox does not already exist, feel free to create it.
Find your user sandbox[edit | edit source]
There are multiple ways to reach your sandbox. If you are planning to use it frequently, adding a bookmark would be the best choice.
Link[edit | edit source]
- Log in.
- Select Special:Mypage/Sandbox.
Bookmark[edit | edit source]
After reaching your sandbox:
- Press Ctrl+d (Cmd+d for Mac)
- Type User Sandbox
- In the dropdown menu, select Favorites Bar (for IE) or Bookmark Toolbar (Firefox)
- Click Add (IE) or Done (Firefox)
Other sandboxes

- FamilySearch Wiki:Sandbox exists for every user to practice.
- FamilySearch Wiki talk:Sandbox exists for testing talk page techniques.
- {{X1}} to {{X9}} exist for testing Template-space techniques.
- Category:X1 exists for testing category techniques.
- User talk:Sandbox for user warnings, for testing semi-automatic user warning tools.
