The California State Lands Commission has the early land grant information, as well as other real property data. They have land surveys, titles, property boundaries, school lands, maps and plats, Mexican land and rancho grants.[1]
The Commission published a book Grants of Land in Calfornia Made by Spanish or Mexican Authorities which is available online here.
