| {{Wikipedia|Pleasant View, Utah}} Nestled at the base of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Lomond_Mountain_%28Utah%29 Mount Ben Lomond] in northern [[Weber County, Utah Genealogy|Weber County]], for many years Pleasant View was a considered part of [[North Ogden, Utah|North Ogden]]. Located just west of [[North Ogden, Utah|North Ogden]] it has been known under several different names over years such as: the West End, the West District, Stringtown, Hot Springs, out West and finally became known as Pleasant View. <ref> [http://www.pleasantviewcity.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=120&Itemid=118 Pleasant View City History] </ref> The pioneers found a large patch of beautiful tall straight trees that were suitable for log cabins. They called this area "Pole Patch". The Ute tribe of Indians, led by their chieftain Tobe, used the Hot Springs for medicinal purposes.
