Background[edit | edit source]

Many ^[1]places in the County of Somerset have names from rivers, one such place is the county town of Somerset. ^[2]Taunton is the county town and it gets its name from 'Town on the ^[3]river or Tone Town'. A list of places can be found in Wikipedia.
