Parish History[edit | edit source]
This ancient parish (AP) was created before 1813. Church of England records began in 1653.
ROWLEY (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Beverley, Hunsley-Beacon division of the wapentake of Harthill, E. riding of York, 4 miles (E. N. E.) from South Cave; containing, with the hamlets of Bentley, Risby, Hunsley, Riplingham, and Little Weighton, 503 inhabitants.[1]
