Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | The Toledo Province is part of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. The Castilian Kingdom dates from the 10th century. Its boundaries changed greatly over the centuries, but since the Toledo area is in the middle of the region, Toledo remained a part of the Castile region. In 1785, a regional reorganization created Toledo Province. In 1822 and 1833, the kingdoms that then comprised the overarching Kingdom of Spain were reorganized into regions and provinces, with accompanying boundary adjustments, including ones for the Toledo area. The boundaries of Toledo Province today are very similar to those after the territorial divisions. |
