Article description: (description) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Plantation Records, Manumission Documents, and Registers of Free Blacks: An Introduction to Documents from Early 19th Century St. Thomas Caribbean Genealogy Library will host a workshop on the National Archives series M1883 on Saturday, May 28th, from 12-2pm. The M1883microfilms contain a wide assortment of records from the early 19th century Danish West Indies concerning the free black and slave population. The presentation will showcase records of both historical and genealogical interest, and give attendees the opportunity to explore the microfilms of the collection available for viewing at CGL. |
