Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | In the Netherlands, a census (volkstelling) is a count of the population at a certain point in time. They should not be confused with population registers (bevolkingsregister), which record individuals over a period of time, usually 10 years, and are far more commonly used for genealogy. Censuses in Dutch research may not be as helpful as censuses from other countries because better sources such as church records, civil registration and population registers are available in the Netherlands. |
