These often list all the adult residents or tradesmen of a city or area. In the twentieth century there are directories of those having telephones. Telephone directories of local residents and businesses can be useful for genealogical research. These are published periodically and may include an individual’s name, address, and occupation. Telephone directories may include addresses of churches, cemeteries, civil registration offices, and other locations of value to the genealogist. |
