Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Denver Public Library has one of the largest collections of genealogical material in the western United States. This includes US Federal census microfilmed images from 1790 forward, as well as newspaper, obituary, mortuary and cemetery indexes, census and tax lists, naturalization files and much more contained in 60,000 books, 75,000 pieces of microform, and hundreds of magazine and newsletter titles, charts, clippings, atlases and manuscripts. While DPL has a superb collection of local records, there is much information for other areas also. |
