Originally Bromley was a small market town chartered in 1158 and an ancient parish in Kent. The town itself has historic significance. Incorporated as a municipal borough in 1903, it has formed part of Greater London since 1965. With its ancient history, it is a most appropriate place to house the extensive Bromley Local Studies Library. |
