Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | 46th Infantry Regiment, organized at Loachapoka, Alabama, in May, 1862, contained men from Randolph, Pike, Blount, Coosa, Macon, Montgomery, and Henry counties. The regiment was captured at Vicksburg on July 4, 1863. Exchanged and reorganized, the 46th was attached to General Pettus' Brigade. It surrendered with no more than 75 in April 1865.[1] |
