Article description: (description) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Also known as Paragoud's Regiment. Organized in Monroe about October 1862 from the 13th Louisiana Cavalry and four additional independent companies. Paragoud was never approved for appointment to command; the regiment suffered a strike by a raiding party; and the regiment was broken up by February 1863. The 13th Louisiana Cavalry resumed its former organization and the four independent companies were added to the 15th Louisiana Cavalry Battalion. [1] |
