From 1671 to 1755, Nova Scotians were included in the Acadian census. Parts of Nova Scotia were included in various town census thereafter. In 1851 and 1861, Nova Scotia was included in the census of the Province of Canada. In 1867, Nova Scotia became a province of the Dominion of Canada and was included in the 1871 and all subsequent Canadian censuses. |
