Example Page

Auburn, Androscoggin County, Maine Genealogy

Project Instructions

  1. Click open the Vermont Task List and pick a County to work in

  2. Put your name in all of the Towns in that County on the Vermont Task List page

  3. In the Table of Contents Box at the top left of this WikiProject page click on the County number you have chosen or.... do Ctrl F and type the name of the County in the box to get to the County quickly

  4. Go back to the Vermont Task List and click on first Town Link and open the Town Page

  5. In the Table of Contents Box on the Town page scroll down to the Land Records section and click on it

  6. By the Land Records sections click on the Edit source link to open the Editing (section) on the Town page

  7. Copy & Paste the County Land Records Wiki Text from this WikiProject page into the Edit Source section on the Town page

  8. Make sure to Copy & Paste underneath the sentence introduction if there is one

  9. Do not remove other links or information except for duplicates...replace old links with new links

  10. Put all old and new Land Record links together into a chronological order list, if there are no dates then put those land Record links below the date list and arrange them in alphabetical order

  11. Click on Preview

  12. Copy & Paste the Summary Wiki Text in the County Part section below into the Summary box on the Town page

  13. Click on Save changes

  14. Make sure all of the Town Record links work by clicking on them and opening them up to the right Records page, then....

  15. In the Vermont Task List put the date you finished the Town Land Records by your name

  16. Then start the instructions over again by clicking open a new Town to work in, in the Vermont Task List
