Convert Old Arrow to Bullets

Purpose

The old arrow was used instead of bullets on the county page. We are going to fix them.

Instructions

NOTE ABOUT URLS ON TASK LIST: Most cells on this task list contain 3 urls. The url you wish to click on to get to the correct Wiki page is the first link in the list that pops up. Ignore the other two links.

Step One - Sign Up

  • Go to the task list and sign your name next to a Wiki page.



Step Two - Click the Link

  • Open the Wiki page by using the first link in the cell for the page you are working on.



Step Three - Click Church Records in the Contents

  • In the contents, select Church Records. Or scroll down to the Church Records header.



Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Church Records

  • Click Edit Source next to Church Records.



Step Five - Locate the Arrow under the subheading of Church of England

  • Code that you are going to change should look like this:

  • Replace each:
[[Image:Gotoarrow.png|go to]]

to a bullet (asterisk)

  • You can also take out the extra <br> found after each green arrow.


Example of completed Wikitext:

*See also [[Accomack Parish, Virginia|Accomack Parish]] 
*See also [[St. Georges Parish, Accomack, Virginia|St. George's Parish]]


  • NOTE: You can merge these bullets with any other information found under the header, Church of England. Use your best judgement.

Step Six - Review the Section and Save the Page

  • Click Show Preview to make sure the new bullets work correctly.



  • Enter in the Summary and click Save changes:
