Task List[edit | edit source]

Instructions[edit | edit source]

  • The instructions below apply to both task lists.
  • Please note that Columns C through N cannot be directly edited from this spreadsheet. Information is brought over from another spreadsheet.

Step One - Choose a Collection on the Task List[edit | edit source]

Step Two - Review the Entry[edit | edit source]

  • Review the computer generated wikitext in Columns E, F, and G and determine if they look correct. (it may be more obvious when you put it on the Wiki page).

Note: FamilySearch Collections will not have any information in Column G, "Also at" Link. Usually, FamilySearch is the first link because it is free to the public.

Step Three - Paste the Collection on the Corresponding Wiki Page[edit | edit source]

  • Look at Columns H-N to determine where the collection is going to go.

Column H

  • If there is a Wiki page in Column H, the information in Column F will go on the Online Genealogy Records page. It should be formatted correctly.

Columns I-M

  • The collection has been assessed and the Wiki page(s) that need the collection link are listed .
  • It should state the Wiki page title and the header the collection link will go under. If the header information is missing, it should go under Online Resources on the page.

Missing Information,br>

  • If the information you need is to add the collection is missing, put a note in Column O and make the cell yellow.
  • Any country or state-wide collections will have a project created and the missionaries will add them using task lists at a later time. We have already put a copy of the collection on another spreadsheet to create those projects.
  • If there is another Wiki page you think the collection should go on - and it's not already on that page - please put that information in Column O and make the cell yellow. We will get back to you in Column N and make the cell light purple.
  • Use Column O and make it yellow if you have any other questions about the collection you are adding. We will put an answer in Column N and make the cell light purple.
  • The yellow highlight will be removed after we fix the problem or give more direction in Column N (and will make it light purple).

Step Three - Check your Link[edit | edit source]

  • Be sure to double check the link you added to the Wiki page to make sure it works (from time to time the generated information is corrupted)

  • Once you've verified the link is working, you can go back to the task list and put the date you completed the task.

Step Four - Choose Another Collection Link[edit | edit source]

  • You can now choose another collection and sign your name by it.
