History

In the 11th century, the location was called Vionno.

Jurisdictions:

  • In 1336, the bishop of Brescia invested Giovanni and Belotto Bardelli of Malonno with the rights of tithe in the territories of Vione and Corteno Golgi.
  • In 1365, the bishop of Brescia invested Giovanni and Gerardo del fu Pasino Federici di Mù with the rights of tithe in the territories of Vione, among others.
  • In 1397, the representatives of the community of Vione sided with the Ghibellines.
  • In 1423, the bishop of Brescia invested Bertolino della Torre di Cemmo with the rights of tithe in the territories of Vione, among others.

Major events:

  • In 1338, a conflict occurred between the inhabitants of Vione and Vezza over borders, and the inhabitants of Vezza set fire to the castle of Vione.
  • On August 13, 1862, a fire destroyed the Canè fraction.[1]
