Thetford Union was formed by the Poor Law Commissioners in 1835 and the union workhouse was built the following year in St Mary's parish, Thetford. Thetford Union Board of Guardians was replaced by Guardians Committee No. 11 in 1930.
Records received by the Norfolk Record Office on 26 August 1976 (C/GP 17/27), 2 November 1999 (ACC 1999/152 numbered C/GP 17/128) and on unknown dates.
