Thai is the dominant ethnic group in Thailand with about 53% of the population. Lao includes 27% who are situated mainly in the north, Min Nan Chinese 12% located in urban areas, Malay 4% are mainly in the south, and Khmer 3% Khmer are on the Cambodian border, with a few Indians and others.[1]
