Tavernole already existed in the 12th century.
Jurisdictions:
- In 1426, it came under the control of the Serenissima (Republic of Venice).
- In 1927, the towns of Pezzoro, Cimmo, and Marmentino were aggregated to Tavernole.
- In 1955, Marmentino regained its autonomy.
