St Columb Major Poor Law Union was formed on 9th May 1837 The St Columb Minor Union parish of St Hilary St Issey, Cornwall  was included.

The union comprised the following

Newquay, Cornwall Padstow, Cornwall St Breock, Cornwall St Columb Major, Cornwall St Columb Minor
St Enoder, Cornwall St Ervan, Cornwall St Eval, Cornwall St Merryn, Cornwall St Wenn, Cornwall
