1827: Fort Langley founded, by the Hudson Bay Company
1833: Fort Nisqually established
1845: Settlers from the east began to arrive
1846: Treaty of Washington
1848: Father Pascal Richards established a mission near Olympia
1850: Donation Land Law opened land to settlers
1854: Washington Territory organized

Some records may be available to tribal members through the tribal headquarters.They were (and are) the local office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and were charged with maintaining records of the activities of those under their responsibility.
