History
The town was founded in 1640.

- Late 15th century: Feudal fief.

- 1652: Passed to the Lo Faso family.
- 1666: Became a Duchy under Duke Leonardo Lo Faso.
- Until 1812: Under the control of the House of Lo Faso.

- Sulfur mining and farming were prevalent after the Italian unification in 1860.
- Serradifalco was the site of the first bicycle manufacturer in southern Italy, Montante Cicli.
