- 1805 Earthquake: This earthquake damaged the town and led to the reconstruction of the church of San Nicola in a neoclassical style.
- World War II (1940-1943): San Giuliano del Sannio was one of the municipalities in Molise chosen by the fascist authorities to house Jewish refugees in civil internment. All five internees were able to reach liberated territories in Southern Italy when the Allied army arrived in September 1943.[1]
