The Provo Edgemont FamilySearch Center serves the north Provo area. Ample parking is available for patrons and the center is open several days each week. Our staff of about 45 workers are well-trained and helpful.

Open Hours:

  • 2nd & 4th Sundays 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Monday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday 10 am - 4 pm
  • Wednesday 10 am - 4 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm
  • Thursday    10 am - 4 pm  and 7 pm - 9 pm
  • 1st and 3rd Saturdays 10 am-12 pm


Holiday Schedule:

  • Closed the week of Thanksgiving, the last two weeks in December, major holidays and on General Conference weekend.


Carpet Cleaning schedule:

  • Closed June 28th and 29th for carpet cleaning.


NEW! We now have a small table and chairs along with crayons and coloring pages for children who may be tagging along with their parents.

  • We have the following additional collections: Scottish Parochial Records (microfiche); over 400 books on a wide variety of genealogical topics. 

Databases and Software

  • FamilySearch Center Portal This center has access to the FamilySearch Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. The portal includes access to Ancestry.com, World Vital Records, Fold3.com, Find My Past, Paper Trail, Heritage Quest, Access Newspaper Archive, 19th Century British Library Newspaper Digital Archive, The Genealogist, Godfrey Memorial Library, Historic Map Works Library Edition, GenLine Family Finder, Alexander Street Press - The American Civil War
  • Scottish Parochial Records (microfiche)
  • Available software programs include: RootsMagic, AncestralQuest, Legacy, PAF, AniMap, Libre Office Suite, WordPad and others.
