History

The area is of Roman origin. The first attestation of the capital and the hamlet of Percoto dates back to 1135. The village of Persereano was mentioned in 1166.

Jurisdictions:

  • In 1135, the capital and Percoto were under the jurisdiction of the parish of Buttrio and were donated by the patriarch Pellegrino of Ortenburg to the abbey of Rosazzo.
  • The remaining territory remained under the control of the patriarchate of Aquileia.
  • In 1166, the village of Persereano was assigned by the patriarch Vodalrico to Enrico di Manzano. [1]
