Description
The county was named for Samuel Pasco, a United States Senator who served two terms in Florida from 1887-1893 and 1893-1899.[2] The county is located in the west-central area of the state.[3]

Tax Records
Taxes were levied on free white males over 21 and slaves aged 21 to 60. These persons are referred to as "polls."
