Oman is located in the Middle East and is bordered by Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates. The official language is Arabic[1]. Oman is a sultanate with a long and storied history. In previous centuries, the sultanate controlled or influenced large parts of the western Indian Ocean basin[2].
