History
The first news of Nogaredo dates back to the 11th century.
Jurisdictions:
- 11th Century: First mention of Nogaredo.
- 1456: Incorporated into the Castellano-Castelnuovo fiefdom (belonging to the Lodron family).
- 1703: Lodronico fiefdom ceased to exist.
- Austrian Rule: Part of the Austrian Empire.
- 1929: Aggregated to the municipality of Villa Lagarina.
- 1955: Reconstituted as an independent municipality, including Noarna and Sasso.
Major events:
- 1456: Giorgio and Pietro Lodron conquered castles and incorporated Nogaredo into their fiefdom.
- 1647: Witch trials held in the Lodron palace by the Inquisition tribunal.
- 1760: Adoption of a statute of heads of families (later prohibited under Austrian rule).
- 1929: Abolition of the municipality and aggregation to Villa Lagarina.
- 1955: Reconstitution of the municipality.[1]
