History

The first news of Nogaredo dates back to the 11th century.

Jurisdictions:

  • 11th Century: First mention of Nogaredo.
  • 1456: Incorporated into the Castellano-Castelnuovo fiefdom (belonging to the Lodron family).
  • 1703: Lodronico fiefdom ceased to exist.
  • Austrian Rule: Part of the Austrian Empire.
  • 1929: Aggregated to the municipality of Villa Lagarina.
  • 1955: Reconstituted as an independent municipality, including Noarna and Sasso.

Major events:

  • 1456: Giorgio and Pietro Lodron conquered castles and incorporated Nogaredo into their fiefdom.
  • 1647: Witch trials held in the Lodron palace by the Inquisition tribunal.
  • 1760: Adoption of a statute of heads of families (later prohibited under Austrian rule).
  • 1929: Abolition of the municipality and aggregation to Villa Lagarina.
  • 1955: Reconstitution of the municipality.[1]
